Anvi Uninstaller is distributed as a freeware application for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It doesn't need to be installed, so all you need to do is download and run its executable file. The application asks for a 300 Mhz processor or better and at least 128 MB of RAM, which should not be a problem for any modern day computer.

The user interface is more comfortable and convenient than the standard Windows Uninstaller. Besides listing all installed programs, it also displays recently installed items, large programs and system patches, on separate tabs. You can search for a specific program just by typing its name or part of it in a search bar.

To remove a program, you only need to select it and click a button, just like with other similar utilities. Uninstalling a program is a three-step procedure. First, Anvi Uninstaller will create a system restore point, but you can stop this action by clicking a Skip button. Next, it will launch the targeted program's standard uninstaller. Once you remove the program, Anvi Uninstaller will start scanning for leftovers. If it finds anything, it will display the results in a list, in which you can select individual items and click a button to erase them.
